-> Bengaluru City Police became the first police force in the country to start an account on the social media app, ShareChat.
-> A police personnel from the 12-member team handling all social media operations said their first post on ShareChat had a reach of over 4 lakh.
-> The ShareChat account is another initiative by the police to effectively leverage social media platforms. They have used these platforms to take note of complaints, act on them, create awareness and educate the citizens.
Six cities picked for Centre’s project to link research, industry
-> The Centre has identified six cities — Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, Pune, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad — for development as City Knowledge and Innovation Clusters.

-> The Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project being constructed on the Godavari river in Telangana has achieved yet another milestone with the commencement of the world’s largest underground pumping station at Laxmipur village.
-> The pump house, constructed about 470 feet below the earth’s surface, is the most important part of the Kaleshwaram project, considered the most expensive lift irrigation project in the country estimated to cost over Rs 80,000 crore.
